Northern BMX Club is proud to be an Auscycling affiliated club, which means our members gain access to all the benefits of being an Auscycling licence holder (including insurance cover, exclusive member discounts and offers, and member eNews, expert training and riding-specific information. Joining the Hornets is as simple as selecting Northern BMX Club during the license signup!

There are several licence types available, and choosing the right licence for you will depend on how you intend to participate. Explore licence options below:

Race Off Road

For members who want the full BMX race experience but do not wish to also compete in road or track races. Riders can participate in BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle, CX, Gravel and Mountain Bike competitions nationwide.

Four Week Free Trial

Want to experience the fun of riding and racing across all disciplines, but not quite ready to sign up? A 4-week trial licence might be just the thing for you!

Free Trial members are covered when participating in AusCycling activities, including social and recreational riding, as well as All Discipline Racing in club-level events.

Free Trial Memberships are available to anyone who has not held an AusCycling Membership/4 Week Trial in the last 2 years.

*Note: Excludes racing at State/National Level Events, State & National Championships & UCI events.

Non-Riding

For members who want to join the community, pitch in, lead the way, volunteer, officiate, or otherwise support the club without kitting up and hitting the track. Recommended for supporters and/or members who are or want to be a club official, administrator or volunteer working behind the scenes in their local community/club but do not ride.

*Note: This licence type provides no insurance coverage for riding or racing, but does cover for track maintenance, fundraising for clubs as a committee member, volunteering and assisting club activities.
